There is no doubt that now computer technology is dominating the whole world. Some developed countries are highly expert in software developing and marketing section. Being a developing country, we should keep pace with the developed countries. But it is a matter of sorrow that our software industry is unable to shine in the world. We have the problems in fiscal, human resource, infrastructure and marketing areas. These are the barriers for the growth of the software industry in Bangladesh.

There are two main causes such as poor marketing efforts and lack of quality products for failure in software development industry in Bangladesh. And that’s why Bangladesh is unable to enter the global software market. Our industries are creating software. But actually the production cost of our software is very high. In this context, the marketing price will naturally be high. The customers of our country have to suffer from high price. Foreign software products captured the market of our country entirely because of its low price and quality. So the customers easily take this opportunity.

In this section, our government should impose high tax on foreign software products. Our software industries should ensure the quality on their new software products. To develop the software industries, we should need expertise in production, flawless person’s requirements in designing system. We have lack of knowledge in developing model, lack of proper software testing procedure and lack of complete documentation in our software industries.

We need a close relation between software industries and academic institutions to develop the section. Our software industries face the shortage of resourceful persons who can handle the complex software projects. We should solve the problems. I also want to mention here the young students who involve making new and creative software to be given more scopes to go forward. Actually, we need the earnest help of our government to develop and overcome this problem and side by side loving our country we should achieve our goal.
