Cyber café and repair shop

To spread the information and communication technology, different media play different roles. Cybercafés are one of these media. Its role is undeniable to the spread of knowledge and technology. In Bangladesh cyber cafés have done a lot to popularize the internet technology.
Nari Jibon has been offering special opportunities for the development of women from the very beginning. Nari Cyber café has been opened for all women on the 16th June 2006 to fulfill the different promises given by Nari Jibon. The Nari cyber café has been limited to women. To establish the cyber café, executive director, Dr. Kathryn Ward has played the most important role. In addition, the workers of Nari Jibon have worked hard for it.
Saleha Parveen, who is the coordinator of Nari Jibon Project, has opened the cybercafé for all kinds of women. During the opening ceremony she answered questions of the audience who were present. Kazi Rafiqul Islam who is the director of research cell also answered the questions of the audience. They both described the facilities of the cybercafé.
They said that as it is only women, they will get a safe environment. The charge of browsing is cheaper than many other cafés. It also provides other facilities like picture printing, CD writing and laminating.
Nari Jibon has also started a Computer Repair Shop that is open for all. The service charge is also cheaper than others. If anyone wants to repair his/her computer in her home it is also possible here. Tarun Falia is the in charge of the cybercafé and computer repair.
All the workers of Nari Jibon are working hard to make it an efficient institution that empowers women. Nari Jibon is like a ‘Bridge’ which help the woman to reach the target point of life through education, jobs training and resources.
