City-IT Fair 2007 and Our ICT

City IT Fair, 07 started on 5th April, 07 in BCS city (the biggest Computer market in Bangladesh) at Agargaon in Dhaka and ended on April, 13, 2007. The fair was arranged with some technological information for 9 days. The main objectives of this fair were to increase the using of computer, recognize the new products with the visitors and reach the products and computer instruments to the users at reasonable price.

In City IT Fair, 07; some special cultural programs had been arranged beside the arrangement of technological information. The programs were about: showing products of Fair Sponsor Light on, Lexmark, Gigabyte, ASUSE, Fashion Show, Talk Show, and Quiz Competition for all and everyday the prize giving ceremony was started from 2:30 pm for the winners.

In these programs invited Technologists and Specialist discussed about different subjects and answered on technological information to the questions of the visitors. Discussed subjects were: City IT Customer Care, SOHO, Entertainment through Media and Computer, Submarine Cable Bangladesh, Small & Medium Industry, Our Village and Technology etc.

Last 6th April, 07 the discussed subject was on BCS Computer Customer Care, on 7th April, 07 the discussed subject was on Small & Medium Industry, on 10th April,07 was on SOHO and on 11th April, 07 was on Submarine Cable. After these subject based discussion a talk show was arranged between Media Star and Visitors. In the talk show journalists, actors, actresses and writers participate and they were given City IT awards.

Without these, there were some attractive advantages for the visitors, like: free Internet Browsing, Raffle draw on Entry Ticket and The winning Prizes on Raffle draw were— Laptop, LCD Monitor and others.

The City IT Fair, 07 ended with the participation of more than two lacs of people. On the last day, the discussion was about ‘A Suitable Computer for you’. Sponsor ‘Light On’ arranged the Children Art Exhibition.

For great performance on technological side a lifetime achievement award was given to M.N. Islam, the Chairman of Flora Limited and Azizul Haq, the Chairman of Superior Electronics.

And also a special achievement award was given to Abdullah H. Kafi, the management Director of J.A.N associate to be selected as an Assistant Chairman of International Organization-- ASOCIO.
